When we reached there, we see people gathering. All gathered for one reason. Rudra. Well, you see, Rudra is a Singapore based band. They influence Hindu philosophy into Death Metal. And they created a whole new metal. Vedic Metal. They are a 20-year old band. And has toured to many countries. USA, India and more. Hindu philosophy is very deep that even us Hindus can't really understand it. It's basically in Sanskrit and one word has more than one meaning. They influence me to learn Sanskrit. It is the only language that really makes the hairs on my hands stand.
They were doing their sound check, so we had our smoke. When I saw the guys come out, I was sooo eager to get back into the crowd. I pushed my way to the center. All metalheads. All in black. Some in jackets. All ready to mosh and headbang. I told myself, I want to just headbang. I want to listen them as it was such a long time since I heard them. But when they started playing, the whole metal feeling. The overwhelming surge of power and the hairs of the hands stand. And I know that I have to mosh. I just join in. I push everyone around. They kick and punch and I just grab them and push them around. When I got tired, I went the side and headbang till the I catch my breath and get that feeling again. So, this went on through out their performance.
The thing about Metalheads is that, when we mosh, and when someone drops down, the neighbouring people just create a wall around the fallen person, help the person up and continue to mosh. When we headbang, we just put our hands on each other shoulders, even if they are strangers, and we headbang together. It's like a mutual understanding. It look kind of violent. It is. But we all have no hard feelings. Cause we came there for the music and enjoy it.
After the gig, we just sat and chatted a bit. Then we made our way slowly to the train station talking about the night, the clubbing night making fun and all. The whole journey home, we talked about our past times having fun together. We had a real good laugh. Remembering the times and all. When it was my stop to get down, Thipa asked me when am I going to Philippines. I said 3rd August. He asked me what time the flight is, and I said it was around 4plus in the evening. And the next thing he said, really surprised me. He said that he will follow me to the airport. And Jag, out of nowhere, said he will too. I was just stunned. Cause I thought they don't really care about my and Joy. It doesn't matter me. It's not like they are trying to separate us. Yeah.. Anyway, it was a good night. But I still want to mosh more and headbang more.
P.S. I never stop thinking of you, love. Even when I was moshing at the gig.
