Week 2. It wasn't that good. Deadline for my reports and visiting the relatives. So, not much time. At least I did clock my limit. I find it easier to run in the gym. On the treadmill but I don't like that. To me, it seems unnatural and weak to run in the gym cause you don't train your body to get used to the natural elements. However, if it rains, no choice.
Now, I would like to share my goal. I thought this long and hard. I don't want to be a bodybuilder. To me, they look good, yes but in terms of functionality, eh...
This article help decide what I wanna achieve. I want to be the guy who brings the bear home for dinner. Yeah, abs is kinda cool but I rather have a strong core than a clear abs shape/outline.
So, my first goal was to train for strength. Powerlifting then slowly transit to Strongman. I really do want to train Strongman. Actually, the reason I start powerlifting and strongman was to get stronger for rugby. They do need lots of power.
But the more I think about it, I would be a lot heavier. The bulk could be my strength and weakness. Until something that have been under my nose all along, caught my eye. Batman. I know, this guy is probably dreaming. I am not talking about becoming exactly like the Batman, but.. that wouldn't be a bad thing actually. Anyway, his physique is impressive. Lean body and fast reflexes together with his knowledge of various marital arts, damn. A superhuman without any drugs.
Ok, let's minus off the martial arts part as I would need lots of time and money for that. Not that I am not going to learn, just not currently and I have other urgent priorities to spend the money. Till then, I can train to have a lean body. I want to get rid of the fat first then start building up from there.
I am an Endomorph. Meaning, I have slow metabolism, gain fat and muscle easily and I have to do lots of cardio. Cardio must be my main exercise. Additional weight training will increase my metabolism rate. In order to reduce my fat, I have to do interval. Got my information here.
There are lots of websites to get that information. They will tell you the same thing.
Again, I am not some expert. I'm just a regular dude who has his own goals and just want to share. I am using this blog to motivate me. It kinda helps. Like the song from Matchbox 20, "Lets see how far we've come".
To add to my goal, I want the hard body and a strong grip. A hard earn body. One day, I want to participate the Tough Mudder. That is some cool shit, man.
Well, that is what I have to say about this week. Start of week 3. Let's get some shit done. See ya!
