This year Valentines' Day, we cooked our lunch together.
Good thing that I got a day off from my CO. Got to spend the whole Friday with my baby. It was fun. We already planned to cook noodles from the instant noodle packet. We decided to do it our own way. Don't follow from the usual, 2 minutes in the boiling water.
Here's what I did.
Soak the noodles in a bowl of tap water. Let it soak.
Cut an onion, a tofu and a sausage.
Hit up the pan and put a little of oil. Say, half a tablespoon?
Then throw in the onions and let them cook. Followed by the sausages.
Once they were cooked, I added the 2 eggs and the noodles (after filtering it from the bowl of water).
Mix them, then add the seasoning and the tofu.
It tasted...... ok. The noodles was kinda lumpy and the seasoning wasn't spread out evenly and the egg wasn't mixed with the noodles. So, I changed a bit and tried cooking the same thing again today.
I only added garlic. No sausages, so I replaced with bacons. The changes I made were,
Mix the seasoning with the onions and garlics and add a bit more oil. Made it a bit like a paste. Then add in the noodles, mix them till the seasoning was evenly spread then add the eggs and mix them well. The outcome was much better. Take note. It was a little dry. Maybe add a bit of oil or find out how to make it a bit wetter. But other than that, it was much better than my first attempt.
